About

Miquel Martí is the CEO of Barcelona Tech City, an association founded in 2013 and promoted by the founders of the main technological and digital companies in Barcelona (such as eDreams, Privalia, Softonic, Nuclio, Nauta Capital, Caixa Capital Risc, Necsia and Rousaud Costas Duran, etc ...). This endeavour -that represents more than 800 companies within the sector- has as its main objective to showcase Barcelona as a top tech hub in Europe. The association is supported by driving corporations such as Telefónica, SEAT, Caixabank, DAMM, Naturgy ... among others, and also with the collaboration of the different public administrations.
Miquel Martí is an Industrial Engineer from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from ESADE. Prior to it, he was involved in BIOCAT, the biotechnology cluster of Catalonia as Director of Innovation and Finance and BDEBATE, a joint initiative of BIOCAT with Fundación La Caixa. He was also for ten years Director of the Barcelona headquarters of AIDIT, a venture of the polytechnic universities of Catalonia and Madrid. Previously, Martí was an Executive within the private sector.
Additionally, he is member of the Advisory Council for the Barcelona City Promotion, Ambassador of the Barcelona City Brand and also of the Advisory Board of UPF Ventures, the Digital Future Society Project the Collider of the Mobile World Capital Foundation and the APTICC, Association of IT Professionals of Catalonia.
