First steps

  • What is the new Online Database?

    The Online Database is the most up-to-date industry directory of companies and participants attending a Real Estate event.
    This tool is designed to help you network, organize meetings and increase your visibility. This updated version of the database offers a simplified, intuitive and user-friendly interface to make any show a success.
  • What's the difference between public and private Online Database versions?

    The public version of the Online Database enables anyone to browse the list of attending companies and projects.
    The private version is reserved for registered delegates per event edition. It provides access to the participants' and companies' full profiles, as well as their projects. Contact details are only visible in the full version

Accessing the database

  • What are my login and password? How does it work?

    Your login is your registration email address and you will be asked to set up your own password. Your email address has to be unique and personal.
    Eg: email: myname@mycompany.com, password: MyPassw0rd.
    On first connexion, you need to activate your account and set up your password before accessing the online database. For that purpose, you will receive an activation email in your mailbox after your registration within 72 hours of receipt of contract. The subject of the email is "MIPIMWorld: your online database access".
    You have to click on this link to activate your account. This is the only way to activate your account and so get access to the online database. After clicking on the link, you will have to choose your own password. Your password must contain:
    • 8 or more characters
    • 1 or more uppercase letters
    • 1 or more lowercase letters
    • 1 or more numbers
    For example: Mapic2012

    Be sure your password is secure.
    We don’t accept passwords containing:
    • your last name
    • the word "password"

    Click on Save/Submit and return to the login page.
    Please finish that process to the end to avoid any issues while activating your account.

    Important
    • Registered visitors to MIPIM and MAPIC also receive another set of codes, needed to book accommodation online. This set of codes does not give you access to the online database
    • Your login/password on your badge do not work either to access to the online database
    • If you have been registered to 2 or more events, you should use the SAME email address in order to get a single profile for all events that you attend and so to have the same login / password for all the online databases. Eg. If you are using a MIPIM email address to get access to MAPIC online database, it will not work if registration email addresses are different. Should you encounter any issue in connecting, please contact Customer Helpdesk
  • I did not receive my activation email. What shall I do?

    The activation link is sent to delegates once their registration has been processed (within 72 hours of receipt of contract). A "Preparation tips" email confirms your registration.
    Once you are registered, please make sure to check your inbox to see if the activation link email is in your spam/junk file. Be sure to check the email adress that was specified in your contract with Reed MIDEM. If you want to check or update your email contact address, please contact: Customer Helpdesk.
    If these check-in are ok, please click on "Enter your email to set a password" link on the login page. You should then receive an activation link in your mailbox. If not, please contact Customer Helpdesk
  • How long do I have access to the online database?

    Your access is available for 1 year.
  • How can I change my email address?

    To change an email address currently being used as login to connect to the Online Database as well as for communication with Reed MIDEM, please contact Customer Helpdesk

Customising your profile

  • How do I connect to the Online Database?

    You may either click on the login page at http://www.mipim.com/en/online-database/user-login or click on the "login" button at the top-right corner of the event website.
  • How does it work if I represent several companies at the same event?

    If you represent two or more companies you will have access to each company portal for each show you attend, and you will be able to update each company's profile.
  • How may I hide my personal email address from the online database users?

    If you want to hide your personal email address visible in the online database, please go on "my account" page, click on "edit your personal profile", scroll a bit and then click the box "I do not want to display my email address on my public participant profile, nor on messages that I send to other participants". Pease note that in this case, your username and contacts with Reed MIDEM will not change, if you wish to inform Reed MIDEM of any change in your details, please contact: Customer Helpdesk
  • Why can't I see all participants' email addresses?

    Each participant decides whether s/he wants to display her/his email address to Online Database users. If you cannot see an email address, you may still contact a participant by clicking on the "Send message" button.
    The participant will receive an email notification directly in her/his email inbox. In order to reply to your message, the participant will have to connect to the Online Database.
  • How can I update my participant profile?

    Once you are connected to the Online Database, select "My account" in the header, then click on "edit your participant profile"
  • How can I update my photo?

    If you want to edit your photo, please go on "my account "page, click on "edit your photo". We highly recommend a 120px x 125px .jpg or .png file. For any details please have a look at the user guide with the screenshots.
  • Who is able to update my company Profile?

    Each delegate has the ability to modify the Company Profile of each company to which s/he is attached. Usually, however, just one person within the company organisation is designated to update the Company Profile.
  • How may I update my company information?

    The Company portal is the place where you can update company information BUT also projects information. To access your company portal, please go on "My account" page, scroll down to "Your Company Portal" section, then click on Edit.
  • How may I update my company logo?

    Go on "My account" page, scroll down to "Your Company Portal" section, then click on Edit. Once inside the Company portal, click on the "Company profile" tab. Within the company details section, manage company logo by selecting a file in the logo image area. We highly recommend a 120px x 125px .jpg or .png file. For any details please have a look at the user guide.
  • How may I read my messages?

    Go on my "account page" and click on "Inbox". You receive an email notification in your mailbox each time you receive a new message. Click on the link to get access to your Inbox.
    Please be aware that "Inbox" does not show up in the user interface if you do not have any messages yet.
  • How can I be kept informed about the activity on my profile?

    If you wish to receive a weekly summary of the activity on your Company Profile, you can set your email preferences on your company portal (Your Company Portal/Edit) in "People Manager".
    If you subscribe to the Advanced Company Profile, you will also be able to set your email preferences in order to receive lead notifications everytime a user sends a message to your company, or bookmarks your company or projects.

Getting the most out of the database

  • How does the Online Database help me to prepare for the show?

    Via the Online Database, you can bookmark participants, companies and projects of interest. You can also contact other delegates by email or through the internal messaging tool.
  • How can I search for a participant, a company or a project?

    You can either do a search by keyword or through the faceted search function. The faceted search enables you to apply a selection of filters to your search and immediately get all the results on the same page.
  • How does the Online Database help to promote my company and increase my visibility?

    You can easily update your Company Profile, including social media links and company documents, and list preferred contacts for show preparation. You can gain visibility within your business community by promoting your projects (video, product sheets).
  • How can I be sure to increase my visibility?

    You can easily benefit from new e-products such as the Advanced Company Profile, sponsored products and targeted banners.
  • How can I track who has visited my profile?

    You can track your online activity on your "Company Portal": number of times your company profile and your projects have been viewed, website referrals, shortlisted projects, shortlisted profiles.
    If you subscribe to the Advanced Company Profile option, you will have access to a detailed report to download on your portal, including the names and emails of the delegates who bookmarked your Company Profile and your proiects.

  • Which web browsers can I use to access the Online Database?

    To use the Online Database, one of the following browsers is required: Internet Explorer 7 and above, Firefox 3,6 or Chrome.
