New for 2012, “Building Innovation by MIPIM” highlights the most innovative initiatives in these fields through a 280m² showcase pavilion, a conference series and best-practice sharing sessions.

    Throughout MIPIM, the pavilion will showcase some of the most innovative solutions available to increase the value of real estate assets and provide a vibrant knowledge-sharing hub: Demo stores, learning programme (case studies and “dialogues between"…), and a networking area.

    • Energy efficiency: How to drive the performance of a building through improvements in energy efficiency, from design and construction to day-to-day management.
      
    • Creating value through services to occupiers : Attracting and retaining the right corporate occupier is vital to a building’s long-term financial success. This panel explores the impact of factors ranging from technological innovations to space planning.
    • Connecting the building to its urban environment: Exploring how owners and occupiers of a building can create value through factors including increased social interaction, and pooling of functions such as energy and transport with the local community.
